Finding your fit
Whether you have years of care experience or you want to start on a health journey helping others tappON can help you find work in your area. At its core tappON is about helping people where they need support in-home, social, or for their health and wellbeing;
This is assisting someone out into their community or to spend time with someone helping them with an activity. It could be helping a client to the shops, the cinema or the beach. It can also be helping a client improve their art skills or teaching them guitar.
Anyone can do social support! You just need to be a personable and friendly person and be confident escorting someone into the community.
Personal Care is assisting the client with activities of daily living including showering, toileting, transfers and helping a client get ready for the day.
To complete personal care on tappON we require a Certificate III in Disability Support or equivalent or enrolled in your second year of Bachelor of Nursing degree. This is to ensure that a high level of care is provided to all our tappON members.
Domestic Support requires no qualifications, just a great work ethic and can do attitude.
It can include anything from basic cleaning such as vacuum, mopping and basic house tidying to assisting with laundry and ironing services.
This also includes kitchen and meal preparing services and helping someone prepare their meals.
House & Yard Maintenance
This is perfect for those who have a green thumb! This includes anyting needed in the garden such as weeding, planting, or tidying up the yard. It can also include more labour intensive jobs.
This also covers things around the house that need fixing, such as a leaky tap or broken door. You don’t require any experience to complete these tasks just the know how!
Got a knack for administration and bookkeeping? Why not put those skills to good use with tappON. Our client can require help with basic administrative services such as bookkeeping and filing.
If you’re competent with computers or have previous bookkeeping experience, this may be for you!
Health and wellbeing
This service if for those who have a degree and are looking to practice in the home, making it easier for clients to access services.
You can offer physiotherapy, personal training services, Registered Nurse/Complex Care Needs and Care Planning.
You must be able to provide us with proof of formal training.
How tappON works
tappON is simple to set up and start being booked by clients. After signing up, you simply set up your profile and then post a job listing where you offer your services to the wider tappON community. You can then either reach out directly to clients are offer your services or have clients browse your listings and contact you requesting a job.
Once your shift is completed and you’re both happy, both parties approve the shift and payment is released. It’s that easy!
Where is tappON active?
tappON is active in the Illawarra and Sutherland Shire areas, on-boarding health professionals in personal care, domestic and allied health roles. To service new regions tappON will take a hyperlocal approach and be driven by communities that need help.
tappON believes by harnessing local community relationships we can help reduce the isolation, and loneliness felt by those who need help.
