Working as a Personal Carer can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories is something you can’t get sitting behind a desk. The feeling you get when someone thanks you for making their day just that little bit easier is like no other.

So, looking to find work on tappON but unsure if personal care is for you?

Personal Care is defined as assisting someone with their Activities of Daily Living or ADL’s –  this includes, showering, dressing, toileting, transfers and assisting the individuals with any personal care that they may have.

Personal Care is a very hands on position and requires formal training from a registered organisation to do. This is because of the nature of the work, you are often dealing with individuals who need to be carefully manoeuvred or transferred and without proper training an incident may occur.

When tappON provide personal care assistance you must have a Cert III in Disability/Aged Care or equivalent or we do accept those who have previous experience in this industry.
